I have been in Event Management for the past 5 years.
Previous to this, I worked in hospitality for around 5 years.

Event Manager by trade, working all roles from promotions and activations to event organisation and sales.

Danielle

The majority of my non-acting work has been hospitality work whether that was working as front of house/waitress at the Pioneer Resteraunt and Bar in Kerikeri or the Aegean Pizzeria in kerikeri. Both were part time work during school or summer break. I also worked at the Kauri Park Motel in Kerikeri as a service and cleaner. Most recently, my first job out of school in 2017 was an English tutor and summer camp leader in Italy during my OE for 7 weeks which involved travelling around the north of Italy teaching Italian students ranging from 5-15 English. Afterwards I worked in Event Management as ‘Artist liaison assistant’ at Europes biggest sound system festival -‘Dimesnions and Outlook’ in Pula, Croatia which involved assisting the sound and stage crew, manager, artist liaison as well as the multiple artists with whatever they needed.

Rachael

I have been working as a Speech and Drama Trinity tutor and Drama tutor for the last two years as an independent contractor at Saint Kentigerns College, through SHINE Speech and Drama and I am the main tutor at Northern School of Performing Arts (formerly Peaches and Pickles).

I also work sporadically at a children’s entertainer which involved character work, face painting and balloon twisting.

In the past I have worked in retail, office administration, gardening, and hospitality.
As a barista I have over ten years experience and I have trained and worked with leading Coffee suppliers Supreme, Eight Thirty and Three Beans.

Sean

I have 16 years experience in IT, although my skills have lapsed a little, I am very analytical and able to find solutions to problems with a tech mind.

Excellent Customer Service skills having worked in a Contact Centre for CourierPost and NZ Post International (5 years).

Most recent role was as a Fleet Manager for CourierPost, requiring people mangement skills and strong admin.

Melissa

I have 10 years experience working in Hospitality. I have managed restaurants, been a cocktail bartender, waiter, host and barista. My most recent experience was working for various catering and events companies in Los Angeles, we would do anything from a 20 person dinner with high profile clients to a 500 person shakespeare event.

I also have 5 years experience in reception and administration and 3 years experience as a brand ambassador.

Kate

I have worked in both retail and hospitality over the last three years, which have helped me develop strong people skills and a reliable team player. I have also been involved with promotional events and catering during this time.

Paul

Apart from acting I have been working in the creative industry for the past 20 years, in graphic design and marketing. I am also a radio host and DJ in Auckland, as well as a reviewer for Libel Music.

Aaron

In my work life I have tackled a variety of roles, ranging from Youth Work to Customer service. In my time working with young people, I organised events and trips and was in a sole charge role, supervising teenagers in a variety of contexts. I recently spent a year on contract in the Veterans’ Affairs call centre in a high pressure role dealing with clients and service providers. From 2014 to 2017, I taught drama to teenagers in a self-employed position in Wellington. I have experience in administration, using Excel, data entry, binding and copying. Additionally, I have worked in customer facing roles at businesses such as Mobil and McDonald’s and have cash handling experience. I’m reliable, positive and always up for a challenge.
